- The Pegboard Toy Docs: I'd like you to finish the tasks on these Google Docs -- The Original Pegboard, the New Pegboard and Mallet, and the Pegboard Toy Working Drawings.
- The 2013 Autodesk Inventor Professional Download: If you have a computer at home that can handle it, you can download the software to use at home. This could be really useful if you ever get a little bit behind, or if you just want to make something with it.

Pegboard Toy Progress
Students: I'm impressed by your work using Autodesk Inventor so far. I'm even more impressed by your ability to struggle with it for a while, and to help one another out.
Here are a few resources that I want you to have access to:

Movie Magic?
We've got some problems to solve here. For this activity, you will watch a couple of famous movie clips and determine if they could happen in real life or not. We will watch the clips together as a class, and then you and your group will work together to figure out if these things could happen. Answer the questions in the Movie Magic docs (Indiana Jones and Ocean's 11) with the people in your group.
Share your final conclusions (and explain how you got to those conclusions) in a comment on this blog post.

Design in a Nutshell
Check out this Design in a Nutshell website. "Take the test" to find out your Design Alter-Ego. Once you find out what your alter-ego is, watch the video to see what time period your design tastes might be influenced by. Feel free to check out the other videos after that.
Answer the following questions in this blog post:
1. What is your "Design Alter-Ego"?
2. What time period influences your design opinions/tastes the most?
3. Have you ever purchased a product based on what it looks like? How did design elements of that object influence your decision?

STEM Artifact Research
I can't wait to learn from you and your partner about an invention/innovation and how it came to be. First, you'll find out about the artifact yourselves. Here is a list of websites that might be of use to you:
As you research the relevant details of your chosen artifact, be sure to use the Questions to Guide You handout to, well, guide you.

Socratic Seminar Evaluation and Reflection
Well, the "Socratic Seminar on Mindset and Failure" came and went. Hopefully you were able to share your knowledge and point-of-view on this subject with your classmates. I say this because your opinion/knowledge matters. A lot.
Below is a link to your partner evaluation and your own reflection on the discussion we just had (and the research that led to it). Please include anything you might have wanted to say, but did not get the chance to. Show me what you know about Mindset and Failure. Thanks.

Partner Eval and Reflection Form
I'd also like you to fill out this "Mindset" Form. We'll see if anything has changed since before your research.

3-2-1
3-2-1 Activity: Please share your thoughts in a comment below. As it will always be, if you do not want your comment to be published just say so. Type "Please don't publish" or "PDP" at the end of your comment. Otherwise, I'll assume that it's okay to post what you write. I like showing off what my learners can do!
- State 3 things you've learned about Mr. Hoegh or your classmates.
- Name 2 traits about this class. If you need to, use the "About This Class" or "Our Plan" tabs from this website, or the brief descriptions on our Moodle.
- Name 1 thing that makes you excited/nervous about the upcoming school year.
It was a pleasure to meet you all yesterday, by the way. It was a good first day.
